Tecno POP 1 Pro aka Tecno F3 Pro is the upgraded version of the Tecno POP 1smartphone that was launched few days ago in Nigeria. The budget smartphone now has a bigger brother with improved specs and features.
Most importantly, the Pro version comes with a bigger internal storage space and much clearer rear camera. The device will be available on shopping stores alongside the F1, F2 and POP 1 smartphones.
It’s safe to say the POP 1 Pro isn’t an upgrade in terms of design as it looks exactly the same with the POP 1. Still sporting the exact same sleek Plastic body that should be a pleasure to hold. The loudspeaker at the bottom dishes out amazing sounds and bass.
The Pro version doesn’t come with a rear fingerprint scanner which is really disappointing. The rear camera and LED flash sits horizontal at the usual position. It measures 8.5mm in thickness and available in Champagne Gold, Ice Blue, Elegant Black and Red. A bigger view for those on a budget, the Tecno F3 Pro offers users a bigger screen with little money. Nonetheless, there are three navigation buttons at the bottom bezel, while the top houses the selfie camera, speaker grille, LED flash and sensors.
The 5.5-inch FWVGA IPS capacitive touchscreen is big enough for large screen lovers. With the device, you get to experience a near bezel-less display. The screen boasts of 960 x 480 pixels in dimension and 195 pixel per inch density as well.
Hardware And Software
Offering the same performance like the initial version, housing a Mediatek chip with Quad-core processor and 32-bit CPU architecture. The 4-cores of processor runs at the usual speed of 1.3GHz with 28nm process technology.
Again, it has just 1GB of RAM space for multitasking, with a memory speed of 533MHz as well. There’s a bigger 16GB internal storage space now to store more files and apps. The Tecno POP 1 Pro runs on Android 7.0 Nougat with HiOS skin.
Camera
At the rear, Tecno changed the 5MP camera and introduced an improved 13MP rear camera with dual-LED flash as well. According to the company, the camera has been improved to serve photography lovers. For taking selfies, the same 5MP is ready with its dedicated front LED flash for cute selfies.

Battery
Powering the Tecno POP 1 Pro (Tecno F3 Pro) is a 2400mAh removable Li-Ion battery with no fast charging technology. Even without the fast charging feature, it shouldn’t take up to 2.2 hours to fully charge up the battery from 0% to 100%.
