Built for use in enterprise environments, the EliteDesk 800 G3 Small Form Factor Desktop Computerfrom HP is a secure and manageable PC with the performance required by today’s workforce and a chassis to fit in modern workspaces. It is powered by a 3.6 GHz Intel Core i7-7700 Quad-Core processor that will allow you to run multiple applications simultaneously, and can also be boosted up to 4.2 GHz using Intel Turbo Boost Technology 2.0. The 4GB of 2400 MHz DDR4 RAM also helps the computer to run multiple applications simultaneously, as well as access frequently-used files and programs. The current memory configuration is one 8GB module with an additional three slots available for memory upgrades, making for a total of four 288-pin DIMM slots. With all four slots in use, this system supports 64GB of RAM, or 16GB per slot.
For long-term storage of your files, the EliteDesk 800 G3 is equipped with a 1TB 7200 rpm SATA 3.5″ hard drive. If you want to connect with external storage drives or other peripherals, the EliteDesk 800 G3 features one USB 3.0 Type-C port, which doubles as a charging port, six USB 3.0 Type-A ports, and four USB 2.0 Type-A ports, one of which doubles as a charging port.

The system uses an integrated Intel I219LM controller for Internet access when connected to a router, modem, or network switch.
USB 3.0 Type-C – USB 3.0 Type-A – USB 2.0 Type-A
On the front of the chassis, the USB 3.0 Type-C port doubles as charging port. The front of the chassis also has two USB 3.0 Type-A ports and two USB 2.0 Type-A ports, one of which doubles as a fast charging port. On the rear of the chassis, there are four USB 3.0 Type-A ports and two USB 2.0 Type-A ports.
Audio Jacks
The front of the chassis has two 3.5mm jacks, one of which supports headphones, while the other supports CTIA-style headsets. Headset connectors are retaskable to function as a line-in, microphone-in, line-out, or headphone-out port. The rear of the chassis has one audio-in jack and one audio-out jack for powered devices.
Drive Bays
Users can upgrade the storage in the system’s M.2 PCIe x4 bay, which accepts drives with a 2230 or 2280 connector, as well as add additional storage to the two 3.5″ drive bays, both of which are convertible to 2.5″, and the dedicated 2.5″ drive bay.
PCIe Expansion
PCIe peripherals, such as dedicated graphics cards, can be added using the two PCIe 3.0 x16 connectors, one of which is wired as x4, or the two PCIe 3.0 x1 connectors.
Wireless NIC
A Wi-Fi card can be installed in the system’s M.2 2230 PCIe x1 slot.
